What identification is accepted?

A current government-issued photo ID is typically required. Common examples include a California driver’s license, state identification card, U.S. passport, or other identification permitted under California law. Kennedy will confirm the requirements before your appointment.

How much does a mobile notary appointment cost?

California limits many notarial acts to $15 per notarized signature. A separate mobile service fee may apply based on location, travel, timing, complexity, and wait time. You will receive the total quoted price before confirming the appointment.

Can you tell me which document or notarization I need?

A notary cannot select documents, choose a notarial act, or provide legal advice. If you are unsure, contact the document recipient or an attorney before the appointment.

Can you notarize at a hospital or care facility?

Yes. The signer must be alert, willing, able to communicate, and have acceptable identification. Facility access rules and witnesses should be arranged in advance.

Do you provide witnesses?

Witness requirements depend on the document. Let Kennedy know when requesting the appointment so witness availability and any additional fee can be confirmed.

What should I do before the appointment?

Have the complete document, acceptable identification, and all required signers present. Do not sign in advance unless the receiving party has specifically instructed you that the signature does not require witnessing.
